Our real growth is not in our building, but in our service to our community. ![]() In the summer of 2003, a new addition was completed, adding over 3000 square feet, which made room for a new chapel with seating capacity of 300, casket and cremation options room and conference room. Click on Pet Services for more information.īecause of the trust and confidence our families placed in us, we have once again had to expand our funeral home facilities to meet the growing needs of our community. A website was set up for our new company, Animal Care Crematory, to describe our pet services as well as display our pet memorial products. We also added a full line of pet memorial products including urns, markers, and pet caskets. ![]() In 2001, recognizing another need in the community, Howell Funeral Home & Crematory expanded its services to include a separate pet crematory. In December 1999, we were proud to open the doors of our beautiful new facility at 1500 Wayne Memorial Drive, which included Wayne County's first on-site crematory. Through our guidance and professionalism, our business tripled by our second year, allowing us to serve 90 families. We had the whole city of Goldsboro for parking - and didn't have to sweep our own parking lot!ĭuring our first year of business we served 30 families. Starting out as a "store-front funeral home" on East Walnut Street, we were told we would never succeed - a new business with no parking and no chapel.
