I'm sure it would cast a shadow on the info he has been giving in regard to the air box mods and what they can do for you. I told Ivan i would send him a free BAM kit to run against his or any other intake mod. I personally tried the lid off method against my air box mod because in the beginning of my making the BAM i had guys saying it didnt do anything. Now i have some knowledge in this area and dyno results to base my remarks upon. he is touting the lid off method with his Ivan bracket to hold the air filter in place. Right away he raised my eye brows when he said all the intake mods are the same and make little difference as to what power they make. I called Ivan and tried to get some details about the ECU re-flash. I just wanted to add something about the Ivan re-flash. I think Ivan put the price on his site with the Stryker stuff, too. I'd be on a MUCH better bike now, and not on a pretty nice looking, but pitifully weak 1300 cruiser (in the Honda). Let me put it this way.I wish even more now that I went the long trip to get that Stryker. The Raider & Stryker will be transformed into what they should have been from the factory after Ivan is done with it. I can confidently say that if you're on the fence with this, I encourage you not to be. Yet, around town or cruising, I could not ask for better response and smoothness. Ivan's ECU work & map turned that into a smooth, fuel efficient, Godzilla powerful motorcycle that had immediate, and crushing acceleration any time I wanted it. I had NO idea how great it actually could be. Let me tell you that I have never, ever seen a mod do so much at one time. When I had the Kawi Z1k recently, I had Ivan's ECU re-flash done with his map and air box mod. I had his stuff running on my FZ1 before the ECU work came out. While I am.unfortunately.back on a Honda for a while (long story, lemon Raider, Z1k put pain on my back & hips, wanted to get Stryker this time, but nice dealership much closer to home got me on a Sabre 1300.big mistake), I just would like to put a plug in here for Ivan's work. When/if the Raider flash is ready, my ECU will be one of the first ones in the mail to him. Tons of riders from the FZ1 forums have had their ECU's flashed by Ivan and rave about it. Never mind the huge power increase is just the icing on the cake. The difference compared to stock is so striking that I cannot believe that it’s the same bike in how it runs in terms of throttle smoothness and response. I’m so excited about this because my FZ1 has his entire performance package and his ecu flash. Either way, the tuning will be much closer to what is actually needed than the stock ECU provides. If your mods are different than what he has on his site, you may still need the fuel tuner for fine adjustments. If you already have a fuel tuner, you can just set it to “0”. He also claims that as long as the mods on the customer’s bike are the same as what he has done to his, a fuel tuner is not needed. He assured me that it will be ready by early spring. But he did say when it’s ready, there will be a price on his website. He still needs to do some road testing and weather has been a problem in NY. I did speak to him about pricing for the Stratoliner and Roadliner, but he hasn’t done that yet because he isn’t 100% finished with it. He wouldn’t confirm or deny that he was working on it. I’m hoping that he will also include the Raider in the near future because I have one. He has done a fantastic job showing a sensible and honest dyno profile of the bike showing the common mods and how they affect the HP. Timing retarders just to list some of them. This is fantastic news because ECU tuning truly fixes the tuning problems that these 1900's have at the source: I have personally dealt with Ivan with my FZ1 and can tell you he is well known for his honesty and integrity. Ivan is mostly known for being a great tuner of sportbikes since the 90’s, but has apparently added our Yamaha 1900’s to his offerings. In any event, I went and checked out the website of a guy who I have been dealing with for my FZ1 to see if he added what I had been hoping for. I know I'm kind of new here but have been a member of MBF, Roadstar Raider, and many other forums for a long time.
